HERO House Everett promotes the continued employment and education of our members with fully guided support programs and independent work placements.
For people who have experienced and are recovering from mental illness, it can be difficult to find work. Employment gaps on a resume, continued bias against those who have struggled with their mental health, and lack of access to common resources, such as transportation and financial aid, are very real challenges our members face every day.
Our Employment Specialist and other experienced staff members have helped members start their education programs at accredited colleges, placed members with local employers to gain vital employment experience, and connected members with numerous community resources to help them on their professional journeys, regardless of where they may be coming from.
